Cattlemen of All Ages
On behalf of the Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic, I want to invite you to evaluate all the opportunities the 2017 Classic has to offer. The Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic is the winter event that has something for the entire family.
The 2017 Classic will feature a few new events for you to enjoy while attending the event. The 26th Annual Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic kicks off on Saturday, February 18th. The opening weekend features the Ranch Horse Competition, Ranch Horse Rodeo and the Ranch Horse Sale. This year we have added a few activities to make it a fun weekend for the family to enjoy. On Saturday, Feb. 18th and Sunday, Feb. 19th we are adding the Rustic Cowboy Mercantile to the Commercial Trade Show. The Mercantile will feature several unique vendors that showcase classy, rustic merchandise and several unique boutiques from across the Midwest. We are also organizing antique vendor opportunities for the weekend activities. On Saturday, night we are adding some entertainment following the Ranch Rodeo. This year we will hold the Classic Draft Horse Feed Team Races.
Another new event added to the schedule is on Monday, February 20th. The Classic will hold a Career Fair for college students from UNL, UNK, NCTA, Northeast Community College and Southeast Community College. This event will allow college students the opportunity to network with businesses at the Classic. The Classic will also invite ranchers to have a display for the day. Ranchers would have the opportunity to network with youth looking for employment opportunities.
The Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic will feature a tremendous commercial trade show during the event. This year Tuesday, February 21st will feature some fun in the commercial trade show. We are headlining the day "Come & Get your Commercial Bargains". There will be specials only offered on this day, plus the Classic will have the opportunity for cattlemen to win "Classic Cash" that can be used towards any of the 2017 Cattle Sales. We will have more details as the event gets closer. Tuesday will also feature the "Battle of the Breeds" in the showring. We had lots of fun last year as the Breed Associations served Beef Samples. It was a great social event for consumers and cattlemen.
There is lots of exciting events planned at the 2017 Nebraska Cattlemen's Classic. Mark your calendars for February 18-26, 2017. Please call me anytime with any questions you may have at 308-627-6385.
